About MnRDecor:
Founded in 2018, MnRDecor is a passionate home decor organization that has redefined the art of block printing. Our vision has always been to blend India’s rich artistic heritage with contemporary designs. Inspired by timeless Indian art forms, we have re-imagined traditional block printing motifs for modern interiors.
Contest Theme: Modern Traditional Motifs
The contest challenges participants to create Modern Traditional Motifs that can be applied to upholstery products viz Curtains, Bedspread, Cushion Covers, Table Runners, etc. Your designs should incorporate traditional motifs and blend them with modern aesthetics, creating something innovative and timeless.
Contest Details:
- The design should have both local and global appeal, making it relevant for diverse audiences.
- We encourage you to think beyond trends—create one if you can!
- Designs should be aesthetically pleasing, unique, and aligned with modern home decor styles (ethnic Morden continuous prints OR Single Motifs).
- The design should be adaptable for upholstery (curtains, bedsheets, cushion covers, table runners, etc) printing.
- Designs can be hand drawn or digitally created. Please convert into JPG format before uploading.
- The File name should follow the below convention: ((College Registration number))_((Full name))_((Name of the design)).JPG
- Maximum Submissions: Each student can submit up to 3 designs.
- Colour Usage: A maximum of 4 colours per design.
- Image Format - JPG.
- Judging Criteria: Originality, creativity, feasibility for upholstery production, and overall aesthetic appeal.
- Panel of Judges: The contest will be judged by a panel of industry experts who will evaluate each design based on the above criteria.
